Deus Ex: Mankind Divided | #NOTplaying #146

When the original Deus Ex came out in 2000 it blew the doors off player choice and expression in first person video-games. The series stumbled somewhat in the follow-up, Invisible War, but was redeemed with Eidos Montreal's Human Revolution in 2011. 5 years later, the inevitable fourth instalment, Mankind Divided arrives after some much maligned pre-order incentives and a sea of controversy over micro-transactions and dubious metaphorical parallels in game's plot. Does it do the series justice though - on this week's #NOTplaying Podcast, Rob shares his first impressions...

  1. Another great podcast as usual. BUT... one of you always sounds like an elephant with a cold that has his microphone stuffed up his trunk. Please find the mute button or a doctor. Listening to sniffling and throat clearing for an hour is almost worse than having your cold.
